We're a small, independent software team. No offshore hand-offs, no revolving door of contractors — the people you meet are the people who build your product.

Our Story

From a shared desk
to a team of 28.

Perpact started in 2016, when Ciarán Murphy and Siobhán O'Brien left corporate engineering jobs with a simple idea: that Irish companies shouldn't have to send their software work offshore to get it done well.

We began at a shared desk in Dogpatch Labs with four people and one client. We grew slowly and deliberately — by finishing what we started and letting clients come back with the next thing. Ten years on, we're 28 people across engineering, design, cloud, security and AI.

Since then we've delivered more than 230 projects across fintech, healthcare, energy, retail and the public sector — and we still work with several of the clients we signed in our first two years.

We're based in Dublin 2, and most of our work is with clients in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

How We Operate

The things we don't compromise on.

Outcomes, not hours

We're judged by whether your product works and your business moves, not by how many hours we can bill. If a task isn't earning its place, we drop it.

Code someone can maintain

Tested, reviewed and documented — because we're usually the ones supporting it two years later, and often you inherit it eventually.

Say the hard thing early

If a deadline is unrealistic or a feature isn't worth building, you'll hear it from us before the invoice, not after.

Ship steadily

We move at a pace we can sustain. Regular releases beat heroic all-nighters, and they're a lot less likely to break in production.

Build for real users

Accessible, fast and secure isn't a premium tier — it's the baseline. Our work has to hold up for people on any device, on any connection.

Security from the start

Handling personal or financial data is a responsibility, not a checkbox. We're ISO 27001 certified and build to GDPR from day one.

Ten years, told in the moments that actually changed how we work.

2016
Perpact founded
Ciarán and Siobhán left corporate jobs and set up at a shared desk in Dogpatch Labs. Four people, one client.
2017
First enterprise client
Signed FinCore Banking — still a client today. Grew to twelve people by year end.
2019
Merrion Square office
Moved into our own space at 12 Merrion Square North. The team passed twenty.
2021
ISO 27001 certified
Completed certification — one of the first Irish agencies our size to do so, driven by our fintech and health work.
2023
AI practice
Formalised a small AI & machine learning team after two years of client projects made it a proper discipline.
2026
230 projects, 28 people
A decade in — larger, but still independent and still choosing our work carefully.
